New UV Curable Adhesive Meets USP CLASS VI Specifications

Master Bond Inc. has developed a new single component, high-strength UV curable adhesive called UV18Med, featuring high chemical resistance, superior electrical insulation properties and flexibility.  UV18Med forms tough, durable bonds and adheres well to a wide range of similar and dissimilar substrates. Shrinkage upon cure is substantially less than conventional UV cured systems. Service operating temperature range is from -80°F to +250°F. UV18Med has a low viscosity of 1,800-2,000 cps and has resistance to water, isopropyl alcohol, ethanol, acetone, MEK and other aggressive solvents. It also exhibits significant resistance to water vapor permeability.  It has a Shore D hardness of 55-60 and a tensile strength of >950 psi. Master Bond UV18Med is available for use in ½ pint, pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon containers. For ease of application it is available in convenient syringe applicators.  Master Bond UV18Med is USP Class VI certified and is recommended for medical applications.
